Pontus is the Latin word for "bridge." This is meaningful because the idea behind Pontus Consulting is to provide services that help bridge from where a person or company is to where they want to be. Implied in this idea of bridge-building is that it is important to understand where the bridge should end up--what the desired destination is.
Another element is that the bridge must be built piece by piece, and the starting point is neither good nor bad; it is simply the place from which the work begins to create a connection to the desired destination. Finding a different career or changing job positions is seldom like catching a plane flight, where you just show up on time. Instead, the process may require effort over time . . . more like laying stones to construct a bridge.
